Dr. Xu has been engaged in clinical work in the field of tumor treatment at Ruijin Hospital since 1993. He was once awarded as one of the Top 10 Outstanding Youths of Ruijin Hospital and one of the Top 10 Good Doctors of Ruijin Hospital, and has been repeatedly rated as an Outstanding Employee of Ruijin Hospital. He received the nomination award for Humanistic Doctor of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association in 2017. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Ruijin Hospital, Secretary of the Joint Party Branch of Tumor Radiotherapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Ruijin Hospital, Secretary of the Ruijin Tumor (Proton) Center, and Secretary of the Expert Committee for Oncology Specialist Training of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Academically, Dr. Xu has been continuously innovative, participating in 7 national and provincial/ministerial research projects. As first author or corresponding author, he has published more than ten papers in domestic core journals and SCI journals, among which a single paper as co-first author has an IF of 11.35. He has served as chief editor and associate chief editor of 2 books.
