Clinical expertise includes individualized staged hip-preserving treatment for osteonecrosis of the femoral head; joint replacement surgery for degenerative diseases of the hip and knee and rheumatoid arthritis; osteotomy for hip preservation in young and middle-aged patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip; and minimally invasive treatment of femoroacetabular impingement syndrome, acetabular labral tears, and sports injuries of the shoulder and knee. Serves as a member of the Basic Clinical Application Group of the Orthopedics Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. Has led research projects including 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China grants, projects from the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical-Engineering Cross Research Fund. Has contributed to medical monographs including "Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip" and "Adult Hip Surgery." Selected for the Shanghai Oriental Talent Program Young Project, the Shanghai "Medical Rising Star" Young Physician Training Program, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Talent Sailing Program. Received the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, the Third Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, and the Second Prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award.
