Has long been engaged in research on the pathogenesis, molecular diagnosis, and targeted therapy of autoimmune diseases represented by systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). By applying multiple research strategies including functional genomics, epigenetics, cell biology, and molecular immunology, has achieved a series of important breakthroughs in identifying key pathogenic pathways of SLE and related novel cell subsets, and has successfully carried out a series of basic translational and innovative drug clinical studies. Has published more than 100 papers in internationally influential journals such as Science, Cell, Nature Genetics, Nature Medicine, Immunity, JEM, JCI, PNAS, and Nature Communications. Serves as Associate Editor of DUBOIS' Lupus Erythematosus and Related Syndromes (8th edition), an internationally authoritative textbook on systemic lupus erythematosus. Received the Edmund Dubois Memorial Award, the most authoritative award in the field of lupus conferred by the American College of Rheumatology, and was honored with the "Joachim Kalden Award for Excellence in Clinical Immunology." Research achievements have received 6 provincial and ministerial-level or higher awards, including the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Universities, as well as 10 invention patents.
