Has long been engaged in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of gastric and colorectal tumors, with a focus on minimally invasive surgery. He specializes particularly in minimally invasive surgery for gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, as well as neoadjuvant and conversion therapy for gastrointestinal malignancies. In addition, he has expertise in colonoscopic diagnosis and treatment, including snare polypectomy, APC, and EMR. He has also achieved considerable proficiency in laparoscopic surgery for inguinal hernia (TAPP, TEP), incisional hernia, umbilical hernia, parastomal hernia, and hiatal hernia. Meanwhile, he is skilled in surgery for benign anal diseases, including internal ligation and external stripping for mixed hemorrhoids, elastic band ligation, stapled TST and PPH procedures; seton drainage and LIFT procedure for complex anal fistula; Delorme and Altemeier procedures for rectal prolapse; and surgery for pilonidal sinus with flap transplantation. He has long focused on basic and clinical research into the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal malignancies, having led and completed multiple research projects including those funded by the Shanghai Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission. In recent years, he has published nearly 20 professional papers in SCI-indexed and core journals.
