Professor Lin Houwen has long been dedicated to evidence-based and precision medication research for major chronic diseases: (1) constructing a rational medication system of "scientific evidence-based - real-world evidence generation - standardized evidence application"; (2) establishing a precision medication system of "point-of-care testing - refined subtyping - targeted intervention"; (3) creating a new drug clinical positioning technology system of "evidence-based guidance - pharmacological exploration - clinical validation," forming a "precision medication and new drug clinical positioning" technology system for major chronic diseases including rheumatology and immunology, oncology, and cardiovascular diseases, improving evidence-based medication evidence for chronic diseases such as rheumatology and oncology, pioneering a research-oriented clinical pharmacist training model, leading the establishment of China's first Yangtze River Delta Anticoagulation Pharmacist Alliance, building an intelligent chronic disease medication management system, successfully applied in 108 medical institutions nationwide, benefiting more than 50,000 patients. Established a new paradigm for clinical value-oriented drug research and development, conducting full-chain drug innovation from efficient discovery of active molecules to druggability evaluation, developing 3 candidate drugs with independent intellectual property rights, authorized 34 drug invention patents, 2 PCT patents, and published more than 200 papers in journals such as EClinicalMedicine and Angewandte Chemie, International Edition. Presided over 18 national-level research projects including National Key Research and Development Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As first completer, received 4 awards including the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education, the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the First Prize for Marine Science and Technology Progress, achieved 10 million yuan in transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and was awarded honors including the 17th Shanghai Science and Technology Elite, the 8th Top Ten Medical Promotion Experts, and Outstanding Pharmacist of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. Led the discipline to rank first in discipline competitiveness among Shanghai municipal hospitals, and won one Gold Award and one Silver Award in Discipline Management at the China Hospital Management Awards. As Party Branch Secretary, led the collective to receive multiple honors including the National Public Hospital Clinical Department Benchmark Party Branch (2023), the Shanghai Public Hospital Party Building Model Branch (2022), and the Two-Star National Youth Civilization Award (2023).
