Awarded the titles of the Second Shanghai "Top Ten Doctors," "Shanghai Artisan," and "Shanghai Medical Artisan." He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, great vessel disease, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, artificial heart, and surgical treatment of arrhythmias. He specializes in off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic dissection and aortic aneurysm surgery, thoracoscopy-assisted minimally invasive heart valve surgery, complex congenital heart disease surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and more. He was among the first in the Shanghai region to successfully perform new techniques such as "minimally invasive small-incision multi-vessel coronary artery bypass grafting," "quadruple heart valve replacement plus repair of giant ventricular septal defect," "aortic arch three-branch stent for the treatment of aortic dissection," "double valve replacement under acupuncture anesthesia," "off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting under acupuncture anesthesia," and various minimally invasive small-incision cardiovascular surgical procedures. He was also among the earlier practitioners in China to carry out interventional treatment for various cardiovascular diseases. As the first principal investigator, he received the 2021 "Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Progress Award, Second Prize." He serves as an editorial board member for multiple journals, including *Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery*, *Innovations*, *Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery*, *Chinese Journal of Surgery (English Edition)*, *International Journal of Cardiovascular Disease*, and *Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Research*. He is also a peer reviewer for *Chinese Medical Journal (English Edition)*. He has published more than 100 papers in core professional journals both domestically and internationally, with over 50 indexed by SCI. He is the deputy editor-in-chief of the planned textbook *Surgery* published by Higher Education Press, and has participated in the compilation of monographs such as *Lan Xichun Cardiovascular Surgery*, *Cardiovascular Anesthesiology*, and *Adult Cardiac Surgery*. As a project leader, he has undertaken multiple national and provincial/ministerial-level research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National 973 Program, the National Science and Technology Support Program, key projects of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, projects of the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, key projects of Pudong New Area, and international collaborative projects. His main research directions are basic and clinical research on coronary heart disease and aortic dissection. He has received awards including the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Progress Award.
