Obtained a Ph.D. from Keele University in the United Kingdom and also obtained UK medical practitioner qualification. With advanced treatment concepts and an international perspective. My research focuses on the causes of individual differences in peritoneal function and the mechanisms by which long-term peritoneal dialysis leads to changes in peritoneal function. Published an original article as co-first author in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), explaining part of the individual differences in peritoneal function from a genetic perspective. This research received support from the Pujiang Talent Program, and further research received research funding from the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis. Based on work in the field of peritoneal function, was invited to participate in the development of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis guidelines for peritoneal function assessment (published in 2021). Maintaining volume balance is an important function of peritoneal dialysis, and fluid removal capacity is one of the indicators for assessing peritoneal function. Related research has been published as first author in journals such as Kidney International (KI, JCR Q1). Based on work in volume balance, was invited to give a special lecture at the 2022 International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis Annual Meeting.
