Graduated from the former Shanghai Second Medical University (now Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine), and studied under Professor Jiang Yu, a leading figure in Chinese urology. Visiting Scholar and Guest Professor at the Urology Research Institute of the University of Padova, Italy; Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), USA. Engaged in frontline clinical, teaching, and research work in urology for over 30 years, accumulating rich clinical experience. Proficient in various complex urological surgeries, with particular expertise in highly difficult procedures such as complex renal cancer, giant adrenal tumors, retroperitoneal tumors, and orthotopic neobladder. Simultaneously dedicated to laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in urology, having personally completed over 3,000 minimally invasive surgeries for urological tumors, including da Vinci robot-assisted nephron-sparing surgery, laparoscopic radical nephrectomy, adrenal tumor resection, radical prostatectomy, and more. Pioneered the application of 3D renal vascular reconstruction for zero-ischemia nephron-sparing surgery in China, and was the first to propose the concept of target vessels in renal tumors. Also one of the earliest surgeons in Shanghai to perform radical prostatectomy. Additionally, pioneered the completion of nerve-sparing orthotopic neobladder surgery (VIP procedure) in China, maintaining a leading domestic level in bladder tumor surgery. Published over 20 professional papers and has received honors including the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, and the First Prize of the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award.
