Graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University and currently serves as an associate chief physician in the Department of Anesthesiology at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Performs approximately over 1,200 surgical anesthesia cases annually. Participated in the Shanghai medical team for Wenchuan earthquake rescue and disaster relief, as well as the group-based medical aid team to Tibet organized by the Central Organization Department. In 2008, went to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States for study and visitation. Specializes in anesthesia for elderly patients and critically ill patients. Published more than 30 papers, served as editor-in-chief of "Contemporary Handbook of Anesthesia and Pain Pharmacology," deputy editor-in-chief of "Contemporary Anesthesia Machines," and contributed to more than 20 monographs and translated works. Twice awarded the Third Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (as the 5th and 7th contributor).
