He is proficient in the surgical treatment of various common cardiac diseases (coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, major vascular disease, and congenital heart disease) and holds qualifications for interventional treatment of congenital heart disease. He specializes in the surgical treatment of severe cardiac conditions, particularly coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease. In recent years, his primary focus has been on minimally invasive cardiac surgery, including video-assisted thoracoscopic cardiac valve surgery and minimally invasive small-incision coronary artery bypass grafting. Additionally, as one of the few surgeons with interventional treatment qualifications, he has been dedicated to bridging the technical gap between cardiology and cardiac surgery, establishing patient-centered integrated treatment plans, including interventional treatment for congenital heart disease in the operating room and catheterization laboratory, as well as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). In 2018, he pursued further training at Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic, the top two ranked medical institutions in the United States, to study minimally invasive surgery and hybrid surgical techniques, and returned to China in early 2019. He has successively taught, provided free clinics, and performed cardiac surgeries at more than ten hospitals across the country, assisting in the establishment of cardiac surgery teams. His primary research focus is on basic and clinical research on stem cell transplantation for the treatment of ischemic heart disease.
