Pediatric thoracic tumors such as thymoma, teratoma, neuroblastoma, ganglioneuroblastoma, etc.; 3. Pediatric chest‑wall deformities including pectus carinatum, pectus excavatum, bifurcated rib and irregular chest‑wall deformities, etc.;

【Research Interests】: Committed to "clinical‑problem‑oriented" scientific research. Major research fields cover pathological anatomy of congenital heart disease, organ injury and protection under cardiopulmonary bypass, perioperative management of cardiac surgery, and surgical treatment of complex congenital heart disease in infants, with a focus on serial studies on pulmonary injury and pulmonary protection during cardiopulmonary bypass. He has presided over and participated in more than 20 national, provincial and municipal scientific research projects, published over 50 papers in provincial‑level and above core professional journals, including 12 SCI papers. He took the lead in carrying out serial researches on pulmonary injury and protection under cardiopulmonary bypass in China. His research achievements have been widely recognized by domestic and international experts, and relevant findings have been published in *the journal of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery*, the most authoritative journal for cardiothoracic surgery worldwide, and *journal of pediatric surgery*, the top international journal of pediatric surgery. In recent years, he has focused on the development and relevant researches of general pediatric thoracic surgery, especially studies on pediatric thoracic tumors.

【Biography】: He graduated from the Department of Pediatrics, Nanjing Medical University in July 1991; obtained a Master’s degree in Surgery from Nanjing University Medical School in July 2001; and earned a Doctoral degree in Cardiothoracic Surgery (Sino‑Norwegian joint training program) from Nanjing Medical University in July 2008.

From July 1991 to August 2008, he worked in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Children’s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. From September 2008 to June 2011, he served at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, successively holding positions as Director of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery, Director of Pediatric Surgery and Deputy Director of Children’s Medical Center. From July 2011 to December 2024, he was affiliated with the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Children’s Hospital of Fudan University, and worked as Associate Chief Physician, Chief Physician, Professor, Department Director, Assistant to the President and Branch Hospital Director in sequence.

He has pursued further studies and academic visits at Queen Mary Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong, National Taiwan University Hospital, Veterans General Hospital and Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, as well as Washington University in St. Louis and St Louis Children Hospital in the United States. He also received systematic research and clinical training at the Faculty of Medicine, Norwegian University of Science and Technology and its affiliated St. Olavs Hospital.
