It has taken the lead domestically in carrying out clinical medical research including immediate breast reconstruction following skin‑sparing modified radical mastectomy, breast reconstruction with extended latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap, single‑hair grafting for upper‑lip scar after cleft‑lip repair, vertical‑incision mammaplasty for macromastia, and liposuction‑based treatment for lymphedema. The practitioner specializes in complex wound repair, breast plastic surgery and reconstruction, aesthetic procedures such as eyelid, nose and facial lifting surgeries, as well as the treatment of hemangiomas and lymphedema. The individual has edited 6 monographs and contributed to more than 10 others. As the first author, over 80 papers have been published in English, Japanese and Chinese, among which 14 are SCI‑indexed. As the corresponding author, more than 100 papers have been published, including over 20 SCI‑indexed articles. The researcher has served as the principal investigator for 3 General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and presided over more than ten national‑ and Shanghai‑municipality‑level research projects. The researcher was awarded the Third‑Class Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress, and jointly received the Third‑Class Prize of Gansu Provincial Science and Technology Progress in collaboration with external institutions.
