Chief Physician, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Department of Pancreatic Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. Recipient of the 6th "National Distinguished Physician" Award, Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leader, Shanghai Distinguished Medical Talent, and Asian Young Scientist. He was the first to internationally report the real‑world existence of the "surgery‑futile" subgroup of pancreatic cancer and established a brand‑new biological staging system, which has revised the traditional "surgery‑first" treatment strategy for pancreatic cancer. Furthermore, focusing on the "world‑class challenge" of metastatic pancreatic cancer, he developed the "Zhongshan Criteria" for simultaneous hepatectomy and pancreatectomy following conversion therapy, and advanced the development of the surgery‑centered comprehensive treatment system for pancreatic cancer. As the first principal author, he compiled the *Clinical Diagnostic Criteria for Pancreatic Cancer in China* and the *Chinese Guidelines for the Comprehensive Diagnosis and Treatment of Pancreatic Cancer*. He has published nearly 100 SCI papers in internationally renowned journals, among which 19 have an impact factor above 10. He has undertaken more than 40 national and provincial‑ministerial research projects, including 8 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As a major contributor, he was awarded the First Prize for Science and Technology Progress by the Chinese Anti‑Cancer Association and the First Prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Progress.
