Doctor of Medicine, Chief Physician of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, and Doctoral Supervisor. He has a comprehensive command of the diagnosis and treatment of common vascular‑surgical diseases, and possesses extensive clinical experience in conventional surgery and endovascular therapy for vascular disorders including abdominal aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, lower‑extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans, carotid artery stenosis, renal artery stenosis, and deep‑vein thrombosis. Meanwhile, he has taken charge of multiple international multicenter Phase‑III clinical trials on novel oral anticoagulants and anti‑platelet agents for deep‑vein thrombosis, and has profound attainments in the field of clinical antithrombosis. His main research interests cover endovascular therapy for aortic dilating diseases and lower‑extremity arteriosclerosis, as well as clinical and basic research on deep‑vein thrombosis. He has been the principal investigator for four projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Shanghai. In recent years, he has published more than 50 academic papers, among which 25 are SCI‑indexed, and co‑authored 5 monographs.
