As corresponding or first author, he has published 34 SCI papers in internationally authoritative journals including CIRCULATION (the official journal of the American Heart Association) and J Vasc Surg (the official journal of the Society for Vascular Surgery), as well as 39 papers in domestic core journals. He has co‑edited or chief‑translated 3 monographs. He has been awarded the Second‑Class Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of the Ministry of Education, Second‑Class Prize for Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress, First‑Class Prize for Huaxia Medical Science and Technology, Second‑Class Prize for Chinese Medical Science and Technology, First and Second‑Class Prizes for Shanghai Medical Science and Technology, and the Meiji Life Science Excellent Award. He holds 3 authorized patents. He has presided over 6 national‑level and 6 provincial‑ministerial‑level research projects. He has received 5 talent grants from Shanghai, 1 from the Society for Vascular Surgery, 1 from Fudan University and 2 from Zhongshan Hospital. In the past five years, he has supervised 6 master’s students and 5 doctoral students as a principal supervisor; and trained 10 doctoral students and 4 master’s students as a member of the supervisory team.
