Chief Physician, Doctor of Medicine. He joined Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University in 1996 and has been engaged in clinical work of thoracic surgery. He is proficient in various surgical procedures for esophageal cancer and lung cancer, as well as surgical treatment for benign and malignant thymic tumors, benign esophageal diseases, diaphragmatic diseases, mediastinal tumors, chest wall and pleural cavity diseases. He specializes in minimally‑invasive surgeries including thoracoscopy and mediastinoscopy. He was among the early practitioners in China to perform thoracoscopic‑laparoscopic esophagectomy since 2009 and single‑port thoracoscopic lobectomy and segmentectomy since 2014. He pioneered multiple surgical procedures in the department, such as 3D thoracoscopic lobectomy, endobronchial ultrasound‑guided mediastinal lymph node biopsy, thoracoscopic rib resection, pedicled sternal turnover for pectus excavatum, and median sternotomy for carinal resection and reconstruction. He has demonstrated surgical techniques to peers at home and abroad on multiple occasions and served as a judge for domestic thoracoscopic surgery video competitions. He participated in the formulation of *Expert Consensus on Molecular Residual Disease in Non‑Small Cell Lung Cancer* (2021), *Expert Consensus on Perioperative Treatment of Early‑Stage Lung Cancer* (2019), *Expert Consensus on Postoperative Management of EGFR‑Mutant Lung Cancer (2019 Edition)*, *Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Lung Cancer (2018 Edition)*, *Society for Translational Medicine (STM) Clinical Practice Guidelines for Chest Tube Management after Lobectomy (2017)*, and *Clinical Practice Guidelines for Mechanical Ventilation Management after Lobectomy (2017)*. He worked as a visiting physician in the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Ruhrlandklinik Hospital, Germany in 2003, and was a visiting scholar in the Department of Respiratory Surgery at Toranomon Hospital, Tokyo, Japan in 2010. He has published 34 medical papers as the first or corresponding author in domestic and international journals, among which 19 are indexed by SCI. He has taken part in 2 Shanghai municipal scientific and technological achievements and won 2 Zhongshan Hospital Awards for the Promotion of New Clinical Technology Applications. He has participated in Shanghai Key Discipline Construction Project and multiple international and domestic multicenter clinical studies. He has contributed to medical monographs including *Practical Surgery*, *Modern Surgery*, and *Great Dictionary (Medical Science Volume)*. He has published 2 medical teaching papers as corresponding author and participated in compiling 3 textbooks. As a member of the supervisory team, he has supervised 2 graduated master’s students and 3 graduated doctoral students from Fudan University.
