Research: As a sub‑project principal investigator, he has undertaken one sub‑project of the National Key Research and Development Program. He has presided over two General Programs and one Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He was selected into the Discipline Leader Program of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission and the Backbone Talent Program of Zhongshan Hospital. He has received multiple research grants including the Wu Jieping Medical Foundation Grant and grants from the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, with total funding of 6.8 million RMB. As corresponding author and other roles, he has published 34 SCI papers in high‑impact international journals such as Nat Commun, Mol Cancer, J Immunother Cancer, J Exp Clin Cancer Res, Cancer Lett, BBA Cancer, J Thorac Cardiov Surg, Ann Thorac Surg, Eur J Cardiothorac Surg and Lung cancer, with a total impact factor of nearly 220. He delivered presentations at major international conferences including AATS 2024, AATS 2019, ESTS 2018, ASCVTS 2018 and WCLC 2017. In 2018, he gave lectures as an invited guest at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He holds 1 invention patent and 4 utility model patents, and was awarded the Third Prize for New Technology Promotion by Zhongshan Hospital.

Education and Teaching: In 2011, he worked as a visiting scholar at Barnes‑Jewish Hospital, Washington University in the United States, studying lung transplantation and advances in thoracic surgery under the guidance of distinguished thoracic surgeons and former AATS presidents Prof. Alec Patterson and Prof. Bryan Meyers. He was invited for academic visits to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, USA and Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Japan. As a postgraduate supervisor, he has mentored 7 master’s and doctoral students, among whom 4 have graduated. He is an English‑language lecturer for the MBBS program and postgraduate programs at Fudan University.
