Specializes in the surgical treatment of valvular heart disease, coronary heart disease, congenital heart disease, aortic aneurysm and aortic dissection. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 research projects including the General and Youth Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Major Disease Joint Research Project, the Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and the Youth Fund and Innovation Fund of Zhongshan Hospital. He has published over 50 papers in the field of cardiovascular surgery, and has filed and obtained more than 40 authorized patents. His honors include the Third Prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award, the Lillehei Elite Award from the Chinese Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery of Chinese Medical Association, the First Prize of China Medical Innovation Competition, the Outstanding Contribution Award for Medical Assistance to Xizang, and the Gold Award of Shanghai Excellent Invention Selection Competition.
