He has long been in charge of special‑needs and cadre‑healthcare medical services in the Department of Cardiac Surgery, performing more than 600 operations annually covering a full range of adult cardiac surgical procedures. He specializes in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures including thoracoscopic minimally‑invasive heart valve repair, valve‑sparing aortic root reconstruction (David procedure), minimally‑invasive off‑pump coronary artery bypass grafting, and total aortic arch prosthetic vascular replacement. He has presided over 5 research projects at various levels including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As a key contributor, he has received awards such as the Second Prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, the Third Prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award, and the Clinical New Technology Application and Promotion Award of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. He has been selected for the Outstanding Young Talent Training Program and the Outstanding Backbone Talent Training Program of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. His main research interests lie in minimally‑invasive repair of complex mitral and aortic valves, surgical treatment of aortic root lesions, as well as pathogenesis and clinical genetic counseling of hereditary aortic diseases.
