He specializes in minimally invasive cardiac valve surgery, off‑pump coronary artery bypass grafting, surgical treatment of aortic dissecting aneurysm, and corrective surgery for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. He performs more than 600 cardiac operations annually. He has presided over 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 2 provincial‑ministerial‑level research projects. As the first or corresponding author, he has published over 70 SCI papers and monographs. He is a contributing editor for the SCI journals *Cardiology*, *Journal of Clinical Medicine*, and *Chinese Journal of Clinicians*. He serves as a regular reviewer for the SCI journal *Heart Surgery Forum* and an invited reviewer for 16 cardiovascular‑related SCI journals. His awards include the Earl Bakken Award from the Chinese Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and the "Outstanding Discipline Backbone" of Zhongshan Hospital. He won the third prize in the Minimally Invasive Valve Surgery Competition hosted by the Chinese Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiovascular Surgery in 2020, and claimed the national championship as well as first place in the minimally‑invasive group of the "One in a Hundred" Bioprosthetic Valve Surgery Video Competition held by Medtronic in 2022.
