Specializes in surgical treatment of various cardiac diseases including valvular heart disease, coronary heart disease, congenital heart disease and macrovascular disease, as well as minimally‑invasive valve repair and replacement, minimally‑invasive atrial fibrillation ablation, etc. He presided over a research project of the Shanghai Health Commission as the principal investigator (provincial‑ministerial level, 2021); participated as the third principal investigator in a National Natural Science Foundation project (national level, completed in 2011); served as the fourth principal investigator for a Shanghai Natural Science Foundation project (provincial‑ministerial level, completed in 2010) and a Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program project (provincial‑ministerial level, completed in 2010). He has published 5 SCI papers as the first author and more than 40 papers in national core journals as the first author. As the first inventor, he filed and obtained one Chinese utility model patent (2013), which has been transformed for practical application. He participated in compiling the 4th edition of *Practical Surgery*, edited by Fudan University Shanghai Medical College and published by People's Medical Publishing House, printed in August 2017. As the sixth participant, he took part in the project "Technical Optimization and Popularization of Minimally‑Invasive Surgical Treatment for Valvular Heart Disease" from the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, which won the Second‑class Shanghai Science and Technology Award (2020) and the Third‑class Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award (2022).
