Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. He specializes in minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting, repair and replacement of mitral, tricuspid and aortic valves, surgical treatment of aortic aneurysms, minimally‑invasive cardiac surgery and surgical therapy for heart failure. He was a visiting scholar at the Cardiovascular Institute of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University in the United States. As a key participant, he completed the third combined heart‑liver transplantation in Asia and the first human implantation of an artificial heart in East China. He has presided over 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 sub‑project of the Major Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 2 projects of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. He has published more than 30 papers in domestic and international academic journals and obtained 4 national patents. He has participated in compiling multiple cardiovascular monographs including *Practical Surgery*, and served as a major contributor to 2 translated books. As a key participant, he was awarded the Third Prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award.
