He possesses profound expertise in minimally‑invasive and interventional valve surgery, robotic cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting and other fields, and is one of China’s most versatile and experienced experts in minimally‑invasive and interventional cardiac surgery. He has presided over more than 10 research projects including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and led 8 national multi‑center clinical studies. He has drafted or co‑authored over 10 Chinese expert consensus statements on cardiac surgery, published more than 80 papers as the first or corresponding author, among which over 50 are SCI‑indexed papers, obtained more than 10 authorized patents with technology transfer worth millions of RMB. He has been awarded the Second Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, the Third Prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, the Clinical Innovation Award of Shanghai Municipal‑level Hospitals, and has been selected for talent programs including Shanghai "Oriental Talents", "Young Elite" of Shanghai Medical Association, and "Tomorrow Star" of Fudan University.
