He specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of digestive system diseases as well as clinical and basic research on chronic liver diseases, with main research focuses on drug‑induced liver injury and adverse reactions associated with tumor immunotherapy.

He participated in the formulation of *AGREE‑China: Evaluation System for Chinese Clinical Practice Guidelines* issued by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China. He has presided over five provincial‑ministerial and horizontal research projects, and published more than ten SCI papers as the first or corresponding author. He was awarded the Third Prize for Provincial‑Ministerial Science and Technology Progress, obtained six utility model patents, among which one has been transformed. He has published over 20 popular science articles and won the Excellent Work Award in the Micro‑video Category of New‑Era Health Popular Science Works, granted by the National Health Commission, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the China Association for Science and Technology.
