He is a review expert for the Expert Database of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and projects of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. He was awarded the title of Outstanding Academic Leader of Shanghai in 2023 and Distinguished Young Medical Talent of Shanghai Medical Rising‑Star Program in 2024.

He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common digestive system diseases, including chronic gastritis, esophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease, fatty liver, and digestive system tumors. He is also proficient in managing critical digestive disorders such as pancreatitis, chronic liver disease and its complications.

He has long been engaged in front‑line clinical practice and scientific research on digestive diseases at the Department of Gastroenterology, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. He has presided over four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project from the Ministry of Education, two projects from the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, one project from the Shanghai Health and Family Planning Commission, one project from the Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center, as well as multiple research grants from Fudan University and Zhongshan Hospital. He has been selected for two Shanghai municipal talent programs, the Young Clinical Scientist Talent Program of Fudan University Shanghai Medical College, the Outstanding Young Talent Program and Backbone Talent Program of Zhongshan Hospital. He holds 4 authorized national invention patents. His honors include the Second‑Class Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2015), the First‑Class Prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Progress Award (2022), and the Third‑Class Prize of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award (2024). As the first or corresponding author, he has published more than 40 papers in well‑known international journals in the field of gastroenterology, with a maximum impact factor of 40.5 (corresponding author). He worked as a visiting scholar at the Texas Medical Center, USA in 2019.
