Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of atrophic gastritis, peptic ulcer, Helicobacter pylori infection, viral hepatitis, drug‑induced liver disease, liver cirrhosis and its complications, unknown‑origin ascites, unknown‑origin gastrointestinal bleeding, unknown‑origin diarrhea, unknown‑origin abdominal pain and other diseases.He has presided over or participated in research projects including the National Fund for Fostering Talents in Basic Science, Pujiang Program of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and Fudan University Undergraduate Teaching Reform. To date, he has published 61 academic papers. He is the chief editor of *Bilingual Manual for Standardized Physical Examination and Medical History Documentation*, and has contributed to 18 medical monographs such as *Practical Internal Medicine*.
