Second‑level Professor of Internal Medicine at Fudan University, Lifetime Honorary Professor of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Chief Physician of the Department of Gastroenterology, and Doctoral Supervisor.

She has extensive clinical experience in the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and chronic liver diseases, the diagnosis of difficult‑to‑treat cases, and the management of critically ill patients. She has long been engaged in clinical practice and research on gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases.

She served as the chief editor of the 14th‑16th editions of *Practice of Internal Medicine*. She has received numerous honors including the Shanghai March 8th Red‑Banner Holder, Shanghai University Teaching Master, Shanghai Noble Medical Ethics Award, Shanghai Magnolia Medical Women’s Achievement Award, the inaugural "National Great Medical Master‑Special Tribute" in gastroenterology, as well as the Commemorative Medal for the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China issued by the State Council. She was recognized as a recipient of the first‑batch National and Shanghai Distinguished Medical‑Educational Family honor.
