He graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Shanghai Medical University (now Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University) in 1993, and obtained a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine from Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University in 2007. Since joining Zhongshan Hospital in 1993, he has long been engaged in clinical medical work including special‑need wards and general practice outpatient services. Meanwhile, he undertakes teaching work for medical undergraduates and standardized residency training for general practitioners. He was promoted to Attending Physician of General Practice in 1998 and Associate Chief Physician of General Practice in 2009. Currently, he serves as Director of the Special‑need Ward at Zhongshan Hospital. Since April 2014, he has held a concurrent post as Deputy Director of Hongqiao Sub‑district Community Health Service Center, Changning District, Shanghai, assisting with clinical and teaching work of the center. He has presided over or participated in multiple scientific research projects at the municipal‑bureau, science and technology commission and hospital levels, and has published more than 20 papers.

He specializes in general medical care, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently‑occurring community diseases.
