Doctoral Supervisor. Specializes in surgical treatment and postoperative rehabilitation for spinal disorders including cervical spondylosis, cervical and lumbar disc herniation complicated with spinal stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, cervical, thoracic and lumbar fractures associated with spinal cord injury, as well as orthopedic conditions such as acute and chronic peripheral nerve injuries.He has presided over and participated in 11 projects including General and Key Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China; published more than 70 papers, among which 18 are SCI‑indexed; supervised 24 master students, 19 doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers. He was awarded the Second Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2000, the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2003, and the Special Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Award in 2022. He has participated in compiling five academic monographs and served as the chief editor of one academic monograph.
