His expertise covers 3D laparoscopic and robotic minimally‑invasive surgery for colorectal cancer, as well as comprehensive treatment and multidisciplinary diagnosis and management of colorectal cancer.He actively develops and promotes minimally‑invasive surgery for colorectal cancer and has won numerous awards in national colorectal cancer surgical video competitions, including the first prize in the colorectal cancer group of the "Fine Surgery China" National Surgical Video Competition, joint first place in the final of the National Gastrointestinal 3D Video Surgery Contest, and first prize in the East China Division of the Elite Summit Colorectal Surgery Video Contest. He has been invited to perform live surgical demonstrations for colorectal cancer at many Class‑A tertiary hospitals across China. He is selected into the "Artisan TOP100" expert team for Chinese colorectal cancer. As the primary coordinator, he launched the world’s first multicenter clinical trial comparing robotic versus laparoscopic radical resection for mid‑low rectal cancer. He has obtained multiple clinical new‑technology awards and invention patents for colorectal cancer surgical treatment. Serving as an editorial board member, he has participated in compiling multiple clinical guidelines and expert consensus statements on colorectal cancer diagnosis and treatment.
