Professor, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Lecturing Professor at Shanghai Medical College. He once served as Deputy Director of the Department of General Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. He graduated from the Department of Medicine, Bengbu Medical College in 1982 and was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine degree. In 1991, he graduated from the postgraduate program in Clinical Medical Skills, Shanghai Medical University, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine degree.He has long been engaged in clinical and basic research on gastrointestinal tumors and gastrointestinal motility. He possesses extensive clinical experience and proficient surgical skills, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer and colon cancer.He has participated in compiling five monographs including *Clinical Surgery* and *Abdominal Surgery*, and edited the monographs *Forensic Medical Identification of Injuries and Diseases* and *Injuries and Diseases*. He has presided over five research projects sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Science and Technology Commission and Health Commission, and taken part in multiple projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published nearly 50 SCI‑indexed papers of various types. His honors include the Guanghua Award of Shanghai Medical University, Outstanding Educator of Shanghai Medical University, the Second Prize of the 6th Li Shuxiong Education and Health Award, and the Shanghai May 1st Labor Medal.
