The main research directions include the clinical diagnosis, treatment and mechanistic research of diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, respiratory physiology and critical respiratory illness, lung cancer and lung injury.Research findings on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease have been cited by the GOLD guidelines for many consecutive years. Research outputs on lung cancer have won the High‑Impact Respiratory Academic Paper Award.Dozens of SCI papers have been published, with a cumulative impact factor of more than 1000 and over 4500 citations. Three patents have been granted. The author has participated in compiling books including *Emergency Medicine Handbook* and *Travel Hand‑in‑Hand with Good Health*. Multiple national research projects have been obtained, such as those supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Doctoral Program Foundation. Oral presentations have been delivered at conferences including the American Thoracic Society Annual Meeting, European Respiratory Congress, Asia‑Pacific Respiratory Conference, National Respiratory Annual Conference and Shanghai Respiratory Annual Conference. Honors and grants received include the Young Investigation Award, Excellence Abstract Award, International Travel Award, Silver Sponsorship, Travel Award, National Excellent Paper Award, First Prize for Shanghai English Paper, and the Feixiang Program Grant.
