Chief Physician, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor and Postdoctoral Supervisor. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of systemic vasculitis, gout and IgG4-related diseases, with profound attainments in Takayasu arteritis in particular.

He has devoted more than 10 years to the research on the pathogenesis of Takayasu arteritis. He led the establishment of the Takayasu arteritis cohort in East China. The Takayasu arteritis MDT clinic he founded has been recognized as a demonstration project of Fudan University. He drafted 3 expert consensuses and 1 clinical practice guideline for Takayasu arteritis, and authored two monographs on *Systemic Vasculitis*. He has published over 100 SCI papers in authoritative journals such as Ann Rheum Dis, with a total impact factor exceeding 300. He has undertaken multiple National Natural Science Foundation projects. He first proposed the mechanism of "inflammatory fibrosis in the aortic region of Takayasu arteritis", and was awarded the Second Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award and Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award.
