Specializes in thoracic pathology and molecular pathological diagnosis. Research directions: thymic tumors, lung cancer, pneumoconiosis.Former Deputy Director of the Department of Pathology, Zhongshan Hospital. He has presided over or participated in multiple national and Shanghai municipal research projects, published more than 80 papers, and contributed to 20 domestic and foreign core professional monographs (responsible for thoracic pathology chapters). Academic contributions: ① Proposed a new subtype classification of non-small cell lung cancer; ② Put forward a proposal for the clinicopathological grading (Grade Ⅳ) of thymoma; ③ Discovered and named a new subtype of thymoma — desmoplastic thymoma; ④ (2004-2022) Represented China multiple times in formulating international pathological diagnostic criteria for thymic tumors and lung cancer (WHO, ICCR), serving as the primary author for 2 chapters and a contributing author for 6 chapters; ⑤ Represented China in developing the IASLC lung cancer diagnosis and treatment guidelines (PD-L1 immunohistochemical diagnostic criteria and pathological evaluation after neoadjuvant therapy in lung cancer MDT); ⑥ Participated in the formulation of the national occupational health standard GBZ 25-2014 Pathological Diagnosis of Occupational Pneumoconiosis. His project Research on Differentiation of Benign and Malignant Thymoma and Prognostic Markers won the Third Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award and the Third Prize of the First Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award. Preparation of Composite Nanospheres Enriched with Lung Cancer Cells obtained one authorized invention patent.
