He is currently Deputy Director of the Department of Cardiology and Deputy Director of the Catheterization Laboratory at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, as well as Director of the Specialized Unit for Structural Heart Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension.His research and clinical practice focus on structural heart diseases, including valvular heart disease (transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement, transcatheter mitral valve repair, etc.), interventional therapy for congenital heart disease, pulmonary vascular diseases, and interventional therapy for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation (left atrial appendage closure).As the principal investigator, he has been awarded 3 research projects from the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, including one key project, and 3 Industry-University-Research projects. He holds 14 patents in total, among which 5 are invention patents and 9 are utility model patents, with 16 patent conversions. As the first author, he has published nearly 400 papers in domestic and international professional journals, of which nearly 60 are indexed by SCI. He won the Third Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award as the first completer in 2014. In 2021, he received the First Prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, and was awarded the titles of Shanghai Craftsman and Shanghai Medical Craftsman.
