Associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, MD, Chief Physician of the Department of Liver Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University; Fudan University Liver Cancer Institute. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Nantong Medical College in 1998 and Master's Degree in Surgery from the Medical College of Nantong University in 2006. In the same year, he was admitted to Fudan University Liver Cancer Institute and studied under Academician Fan Jia. He has been working at Zhongshan Hospital since June 2009. He received short-term training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States from June 2010. Supported by the Cheng Yu-tung Fund, he worked as a visiting scholar at Queen Mary Hospital, the University of Hong Kong for six months starting from September 2019.

He has long been engaged in liver tumor surgery and independently performs various highly difficult liver surgical operations, including resection of difficult-to-resect liver tumors, laparoscopic liver tumor resection, resection of hilar cholangiocarcinoma, and liver transplantation. He performs around more than 200 liver surgeries and 50 liver transplant operations as the primary surgeon every year. His research focuses on the metastasis and recurrence of liver cancer, especially in the fields of circulating tumor cells, ctDNA and the establishment of liver cancer animal models.

As the first author and corresponding author, he has published over 40 SCI papers in renowned international journals such as Nature, Cell, Lancet Oncology, Gastroenterology, Journal of Hepatology, GUT, Hepatology, and Clinical Cancer Research. He was invited to deliver keynote lectures at the annual conference of the International Liver Cancer Association (ILCA) for five consecutive years (2012–2016).
