MD, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor. Born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang in January 1972, he graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Zhejiang University School of Medicine in August 2002. He obtained his doctoral degree from Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University in May 2008. He has been working in the Department of Liver Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University since August 2008. He served as a Senior Visiting Scholar at Harvard Medical School from September 2015 to August 2016.

He has long been engaged in clinical and basic research on liver tumor surgery. He performs more than 300 hepatectomies and over 30 liver transplantations annually, including complex operations such as radical resection of high hilar cholangiocarcinoma, resection of huge liver tumors, and laparoscopic liver tumor resection.

His research focuses on liver cancer immunity and epigenetic regulation. In recent years, he has published 24 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in journals including Nature, Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has presided over 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 4 provincial and ministerial research projects. He has received the Meiji Life Science Outstanding Award and the First Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (5th contributor) in 2015, among other honors.
