MD, Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor. He graduated from the Department of Medicine, Southeast University Medical College in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree. He obtained his Doctoral degree after graduating from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University in 2005. He has worked in the Department of Liver Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University since June 2005.

He has long been engaged in surgical and basic research of liver tumors. He performs more than 400 hepatectomies annually. He specializes in robotic and laparoscopic hepatectomy, living donor liver harvesting, resection of complex liver tumors, and surgeries for hilar cholangiocarcinoma.

His research focuses on the tumor microenvironment, metastasis and recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma. In recent years, he has published 15 SCI papers in journals including Hepatology as the first or corresponding author, and co-authored 6 monographs. He has presided over 4 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As a key participant, he was awarded the Second Class Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2008 and 2012.
