Personal Resume Wang Mei, Director of the Dialysis Center, Department of Nephrology, Peking University International Hospital, Chief Physician, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. Professor Wang Mei has long been engaged in frontline work in clinical care, teaching, and research in nephrology. She has accumulated extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases and blood purification. She is not only skilled in managing critically ill and complex patients with kidney diseases, but also capable of resolving difficult and complicated issues in the field of blood purification. She has long conducted research on calcium-phosphorus metabolism and bone disease in chronic kidney disease. In 1998, she was the first in China to carry out testing of parathyroid hormone levels and bone biopsy in patients with CKD, and has conducted in-depth clinical and basic research on calcium-phosphorus metabolism disorders, secondary hyperparathyroidism, and vascular calcification. She was the first in China to propose and implement individualized dialysate calcium ion concentrations for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients; she was also the first to carry out the application and research of hemodialysis functional components and the use of bioelectrical impedance spectroscopy to evaluate dry weight. She has trained 22 master's students, 20 doctoral students, and 5 provincial and municipal interdisciplinary leaders.
