The primary research focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, encompassing injuries to the cartilage, ligaments, and associated tendons of joints such as the ankle, knee, and shoulder, as well as degenerative conditions and inflammatory diseases of the synovium. Special emphasis is placed on corresponding arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatments. Dedicated efforts are directed toward ankle osteochondral lesions, cartilage injuries, collateral ligament injuries, painful tarsal coalition (calcaneonavicular bar), os trigonum injuries, and Achilles tendon disorders; repair and reconstruction of anterior and posterior cruciate ligament ruptures of the knee, patellar dislocation injuries, as well as repair and reconstruction of complex ligament injuries; and clinical and scientific research on rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), joint dislocation injuries, and labral injuries of the shoulder, among other conditions and surgical procedures.
