Profile: Engaged in clinical practice, teaching and research of dermatology for 40 years, and served as the director of the Department of Dermatology for more than 20 years. He has accumulated rich experience and achieved outstanding results in the diagnosis and treatment of dermatovenereological diseases, as well as teaching, scientific research and administrative management. He has won the Second Prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of Guangzhou Science and Technology Progress Award and the Second Prize of Military Medical Achievement Award. He was awarded one collective Third-Class Merit and one individual Third-Class Merit, and the title of the first "Yangcheng Good Doctor". He has supervised 122 postgraduate students, including 59 doctoral students and 3 postdoctoral fellows.

Research Experience: He has presided over 5 General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 24 projects including Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, Guangdong Provincial Key Science and Technology Program and Guangdong Provincial Key Research Projects. He is the chief editor of 4 academic monographs and has published more than 600 academic papers, including 122 SCI papers (95 as the first or corresponding author) and 366 papers in Chinese core journals. Based on the quantity and quality of papers published in dermatology from 2013 to 2022, he ranked 27th nationwide. His team ranked 19th nationwide in the dermatology discipline of the 2022 Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) for Chinese Hospitals. In 2019, he led the research team to win the "Award for Outstanding Research in Clinical Photodynamic Therapy" presented at the 17th World Congress of the International Photodynamic Association.
