He has been engaged in medical practice, teaching and scientific research in oral and maxillofacial surgery for more than 30 years. His main research focuses on basic research and clinical treatment of oral and head and neck tumors, and he possesses extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex oral and maxillofacial diseases.

Research achievements: He has presided over 11 key research projects, science and technology programs and natural science foundation projects in Guangdong Province, and participated in 1 National Natural Science Foundation project. He has published more than 90 papers as the first author and corresponding author, including 10 SCI-indexed papers. As the first recipient, he won one Third Class Prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and one Third Class Prize of Military Science and Technology Progress Award. He has supervised 2 doctoral students and 17 master students.
