**Medical Career:** Graduated from the Clinical Medicine Department of the Fourth Military Medical University in Xi'an. After completing a master's degree in 1993, I was assigned to the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Nanfang Hospital, where I have worked ever since. I obtained my doctoral degree from Southern Medical University. I have received multiple commendations and awards for individual excellence from the university and hospital. In 2003, I served a one-year deployment in Tibet and was awarded one Third-Class Merit. **Research Activities:** I have served as editor-in-chief and deputy editor-in-chief for 3 monographs. I have received one First Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, one Third Prize of the Military Medical Achievement Award, one Second Prize of the Guangdong Medical Science and Technology Award, and one Second Prize of the Science and Technology Innovation Award from the China Medical Education Association. I have been responsible for 3 national-level projects and 3 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan projects. I have participated in multiple global multicenter, prospective studies. I have led the development of 2 Chinese expert consensuses on thoracic surgery. I have published over 100 academic papers, including more than 30 SCI-indexed papers. I have supervised over 40 graduate students. As a nationally renowned thoracic surgery expert with excellent professional competence and superb skills, I was selected among the Top 50 Chinese Thoracic Surgery Experts in 2021. The thoracic surgery lung surgery training course I led was accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2016. Our department has repeatedly hosted national-level thoracoscopic training courses to promote advanced techniques, training participants from across the country. The department ranks 35th nationally in the Chinese Hospital Science and Technology Value Metrics (STEM) specialty ranking.
