Ren Hong, Chief Physician, Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various critical pediatric diseases, including sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute kidney injury, shock, severe neurological conditions, hematological tumors and transplant-related complications, and complex congenital heart disease with infections. Proficient in and advancing extracorporeal life support technologies, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and blood purification. Promotes the application of critical care ultrasound in pediatric wards, utilizing visualization methods and non-invasive monitoring of hemodynamic changes to guide precision treatment for critically ill pediatric patients. Serves as the head of the pediatric section of the Chinese Critical Ultrasound Study Group. Treats approximately 600 critically ill children annually, with over 1,000 pediatric outpatient and emergency visits. Main research directions: Pathogenesis of sepsis, early diagnosis and treatment of sepsis-induced myocardial depression, clinical application of blood purification technologies, and the value of critical care ultrasound in precision treatment of critically ill pediatric patients.
