Graduated from the seven-year program of the Clinical Medicine Department at Shandong Medical University in 1998, earning a Master's degree. Received a Doctorate in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the Second Military Medical University in 2004. Conducted postdoctoral research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2004 to 2006. After completing the postdoctoral program in 2006, joined the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, where he has been working ever since. Promoted to Associate Chief Physician in 2007 and to Chief Physician in 2021. In 2017, studied tracheal surgery at the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital, USA. Currently serves as a member of the Lung Cancer Group of the Chinese Medical Association's Cardiothoracic Surgery Branch, Deputy Head of the Lung Cancer and Tracheal Working Group of the Shanghai Medical Association's Thoracic Surgery Physician Branch, member of the Thoracic Surgery Professional Committee of the Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association, member of the Surgery Group of the Chinese Medical Association's Tuberculosis Branch, member of the Clinical Group of the Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Branch of the Medical Health Promotion Association, and member of the Surgery Group of the Infection Branch of the Medical Health Promotion Association. He is also a review expert for the Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery. With over 20 years of clinical experience in thoracic surgery, he specializes in the surgical treatment of various lung tumors, benign diseases, pulmonary tuberculosis, complex and difficult tracheal diseases, mediastinal and pleural diseases, as well as various thoracoscopic, robotic, and mediastinoscopic surgeries, performing approximately 1,000 surgeries annually. As the principal investigator, he has led 2 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 projects of the Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, and 1 project of the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau. He holds a total of 5 invention and utility model patents. As the fourth contributor, he received the Third Prize of the 2010 Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award for "Basic Applied Research on Chest Wall Reconstruction." As the fifth contributor, he received the Third Prize of the 2011 Shanghai Science and Technology Award for "Basic Research and Preliminary Application of Chest Wall Reconstruction." As the tenth contributor, he received the Second Prize of the 2017 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award for "Clinical and Basic Research on Difficult Tracheal and Carinal Diseases." He has published 35 papers as the first author or corresponding author in major domestic and international journals, including 22 SCI-indexed papers abroad and 13 papers in core domestic journals. He has edited or co-edited 4 monographs on thoracic surgery. His research focuses on tracheal surgery and minimally invasive pulmonary surgery.
