**Education and Professional Experience:** Enrolled in the Medical Program at Hengyang Medical College in September 1980, beginning a 32-year medical career. Subsequently studied at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences for a Master's degree (starting September 1987) and a Doctorate (starting September 1993). After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in June 1985, worked at the college for two years.
