He has been awarded one First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award by the Ministry of Education of China, one Second Prize and one Third Prize of the Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as one Second Prize of the Guangzhou Science and Technology Progress Award. He holds 8 national invention and utility model patents.

He has presided over 6 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and more than 10 provincial and municipal research grants. He has published over 100 research papers, among which more than 30 are SCI-indexed.

He has long devoted himself to clinical and basic research on burns, scars, and the repair of various acute and chronic wounds. He specializes in the treatment of chronic refractory skin wounds caused by severe diabetic foot, venous ulcers, trauma, vascular occlusion, pressure sores and other conditions. In particular, he applies advanced techniques to treat severe diabetic foot for limb salvage. He is experienced in comprehensive management of post-burn scar deformities involving the face, hands and other complex sites, as well as the treatment of extensive burns, high-voltage electrical burns, chemical burns and thermal crush injuries of the hand.
