Principal investigator of 1 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) project and 2 provincial/ministerial-level projects. Published 8 SCI papers as first author/corresponding author, including 2 with an impact factor greater than 10. National Neurosurgery Standardized Residency Training Faculty; Guangdong Provincial Neurosurgery Standardized Residency Training Lead Mentor; Top 10 in the Functional Group of the First National Neurosurgery Diagnosis and Treatment Skills Competition; Third Place in the National DBS Surgery Programming Competition.

His clinical focus is functional neurosurgery and the management of skull base and intracranial tumors.

1. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, Tourette syndrome and other disorders. He has performed or assisted in more than 500 DBS procedures with favorable clinical outcomes.
2. Skull base and intracranial tumors: microsurgical resection of meningiomas, gliomas, vestibular schwannomas, ventricular tumors, brain metastases, etc.
3. Cranial nerve disorders: microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm and glossopharyngeal neuralgia.
4. Surgical management of intracerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury and hydrocephalus, cranioplasty for skull defects, and coma awakening by spinal cord stimulation (SCS) or deep brain stimulation (DBS).
