He graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1991. He received neurosurgery specialized training while working at the First and Third Affiliated Hospitals of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. He obtained his master’s degree in 1998 and doctoral degree in 2007. From 2012 to 2013, he received advanced training in neuroendoscopy and microsurgery at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the University of Greifswald, Germany.

Research Grants: He has presided over one project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three projects of the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, one major science and technology project of Guangzhou, two Guangdong provincial science and technology projects, and one project from the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission.

Publications: He has published three English SCI papers as the first author and more than 20 papers in Chinese core journals as the first or corresponding author.

Clinical Expertise:

1. Microsurgical resection of tumors in the anterior, middle and posterior skull base, including cranio-orbital functional tumors, olfactory groove meningiomas, tuberculum sellae meningiomas, trigeminal schwannomas, cavernous sinus tumors, jugular foramen tumors, vestibular schwannomas, etc.
2. Endoscopic minimally invasive resection of midline skull base tumors, including pituitary adenomas, chordomas, craniopharyngiomas, cholesteatomas, etc.
3. Surgical and comprehensive treatment of various types of gliomas.
4. Shunt surgery for all forms of hydrocephalus and reconstructive plasty for skull defects.
5. Comprehensive management of severe traumatic brain injury.

Research Interests: Minimally invasive treatment of brain tumors.
