Graduated from the eight-year medical program of Peking Union Medical College in 1996 and obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree. Mainly engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases and intracranial tumors. Took the lead in carrying out neuronavigation surgery in China, combining intraoperative functional navigation, ultrasound, and electrophysiological techniques to perform surgery for cerebral vascular malformations and deep eloquent area lesions, maximizing the protection of neurological function; took the lead in carrying out combined endovascular intervention and craniotomy for the treatment of complex cerebrovascular diseases and brain tumors, effectively reducing intraoperative bleeding and neurological impairment. Paid early attention to and promoted neurocritical care technology and the construction of neurocritical care units for cerebrovascular diseases and craniocerebral trauma in China, and participated in formulating China's first expert consensus on neurosurgical critical care management. Engaged in clinical, scientific research, and teaching work in neurosurgery for more than 20 years, completing approximately 300 highly difficult neurosurgical operations each year, taking the lead in carrying out multiple new clinical diagnostic and treatment technologies and standards in China, breaking down professional barriers, and bringing the diagnosis and treatment of complex cerebrovascular diseases in China to an internationally advanced level. Presided over and participated in dozens of major national and provincial/ministerial scientific research projects related to cerebrovascular diseases, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Tackling Program, and the National Science and Technology Support Program. Successively participated in and undertook subprojects of the National Science and Technology Support Program during the "Ninth Five-Year Plan," "Tenth Five-Year Plan," "Eleventh Five-Year Plan," "Twelfth Five-Year Plan," and "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan," undertook 5 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, presided over the formulation of multiple national clinical diagnosis and treatment guidelines for neurosurgery, and actively devoted himself to standardized training programs for neurosurgical operative techniques. Has won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award three times and several Beijing Science and Technology Progress Awards, and has received multiple honorary titles including "National Ten Thousand Talents Program Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions" and "Mao Yisheng Youth Science and Technology Award." Published more than 90 SCI articles in journals such as Lancet, with an impact factor of approximately 253 points, among which 43 SCI articles were published as first author or corresponding author, with an impact factor of approximately 107 points. Chief editor and publisher of 4 monographs, and has trained 3 postdoctoral fellows, 21 doctoral students, and 27 master's students. Planned and founded China's first English-language neurosurgery journal - Chinese Neurosurgical Journal English Edition.
